SWUM · SWARM COORDINATION FOR PHYSICAL AI

Many robots. One goal.
No central controller.

A fleet of robots splits a goal, agrees who does what, does each job once, proves it and learns from it. No controller, and no reliable network required.

A factory floor seen from above: six mobile robots on their routes, four arm cells and two conveyor lines, with radio rings around the robots.

Each robot and machine beacons what it knows to whatever is in radio range, so news crosses the floor hop by hop.

USE CASE · MANUFACTURING & WAREHOUSING

Manufacturing and warehousing.
The floor keeps moving.

Mobile robots, forklifts and inspection robots from different vendors share one site. With SwUM they split the picks, pallet moves, line feeds and inspection rounds among themselves and hand jobs robot to robot, so work goes on behind walls and racking where Wi-Fi drops out, and every finished job comes with a proof.

Each wall a signal crosses weakens it. The robots that walk through the doors carry each alert to the control room.

A plant seen from above: five rooms off one corridor, with switchgear, a control room, pumps, transformers and tanks. Four four-legged robots walk between the corridor and the rooms, and the radio waves slow down and fade behind every wall.

USE CASE · DEFENSE & SECURITY

Defense and security.
Jam one area, the rest keeps talking.

Drones, ground vehicles and unattended sensors patrol routes, watch a perimeter and share what they see. With SwUM they divide sectors and tasks among themselves with no ground station in the loop, keep working when an area is jammed, and a unit that leaves the jammed area catches up from the first message it hears.

Inside the jamming dome radios can neither send nor hear. News reaches the command post around it.

USE CASE · AGRICULTURE & FIELD

Agriculture and field work.
Every machine does its part.

Survey drones, tractors, weeding rovers and soil probes work across fields far from any tower. With SwUM, a drone that spots weeds or dry soil hands the job to the nearest rover or the sprayer, and readings travel machine to machine back to the base station, even where some radios only reach one way.

Arrows show which way each link works. A long-range radio reaches a short-range one that cannot reach it back.
